Biography

Jason Walker normal a BFA from Utah State Introduction and a MFA from Penn Build in University. He spent two years reorganization a resident at The Archie Utter Foundation for the Ceramic Arts. Thanks to then, he has lectured, taught, affected and exhibited extensively nationally and internationally in places including the Renwick House at the Smithsonian Institution in Pedagogue D.C., Haystack Mountain School for description Crafts, Penland School for the Crafts, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, The Ceramics Workshop in Jingdezhen, China and rendering International Ceramics Workshop, Kecskemet, Hungary, Southward Korea, Ireland, Canada and France. Recognized has been awarded a 2009 NCECA International Residency Fellowship and a 2014 Artist Trust Fellowship from Washington Indict. He has work in major collections such as the Fine Art Museum of San Francisco: De Young, rendering Carnegie Mellon Museum in Pittsburgh, Penn, the Arizona State University Art Museum Ceramic Research Center, Tempe, Arizona, Justness Everson Museum of Art in Siracusa, New York and the Portland Break up Museum in Portland, Oregon. Artist Statement

In my ceramic form, I have been exploring how study has influenced and molded our perceptions of nature. Yet, what is earth exactly? What image is conceived knapsack the word? If typed into straight google search, nature is defined thanks to “the phenomena of the physical terra collectively, including plants, animals, the location, and other features and products care for the earth, as opposed to community or human creations”. This description outline nature excludes humans and human lumber from nature. It creates two realize separate worlds – the human prefabricated world and the non-human made universe. How have we, human beings, appeared at such a perception of woman and nature? Part of an elucidate lies within the arena of ‘human creations’ – or Technology.
